High Country Tours

This guided snowmobile tour will take you through the heart of Leadville's Historic Mining District, located in the Colorado Mining Belt. It was the most productive silver mining district in the state. Cumulative production was 240 million troy ounces of silver, 3 million troy ounces of gold, 987 million tonnes of lead, 712 million tonnes of zinc, and 48 million tonnes of copper.

What You'll Do

You will also make a stop at the ghost town of Oro City in California Gulch - one of the single richest placer gold strikes in Colorado, with estimated production of 120,000 to 150,000 troy ounces of gold.

Age & Fitness

You must be at least 14 w/drivers permit to drive, and 18 to drive and carry a passenger.

What Should I Bring

We recommend you wear your ski clothes, but we provide snowsuits, boots, and DOT approved helmets.

When To Arrive
